Out of Province Inspection

A mandatory safety and mechanical inspection required by Alberta Transportation when registering a vehicle brought into Alberta from another province or country. It ensures the vehicle meets Alberta’s safety and equipment standards (including brakes, steering, suspension, lights, tires, glass, electrical systems, exhaust, and structural integrity) before Alberta licence plates can be issued.
